NEWBORN SESSIONS

Truly the most special season of all is welcoming a new babe into your family. Time is ever so fleeting especially in those early days and capturing them in their first few weeks of life is so precious. 

We offer in-home sessions, where we provide all clothing items for your baby, with a variety of blankets and wraps to create beautiful and timeless images.

We offer newborn sessions from 48 hours up to 6 weeks old and encourage you to select a time that you’d like to capture. The earlier the session the more sleepy and curly they are. The later the session the more awake they are.

  • Most of our Newborn Sessions take place indoors, typically in your home. All we need is a big, open window for light and a few tidy spaces in your home that we can use for the session.

  • Our biggest piece of advice when it comes to wardrobe and styling your sessions, is to keep it simple.

    Neutral tones with texture and layering looks phenomenal and timeless. Long dresses for the ladies, button up shirts for the guys, overalls and low maintenance all-in-one options for little ones is great too.

    We have a small client closet for the ladies. All pieces are featured in a highlights section on our Instagram profile.

    We ask that you go for neautral footwear think (tan leather) and to avoiding white sneakers as they stand out in our landscapes. We also find that blue tones aren’t favourable either due to our warmer editing style.

  • We typically shoot for 60 - 90 minutes for Newborn sessions.

  • Typically 2 -3 weeks for family sessions.

  • Yes, absolutely! Siblings are most welcome however we do encourage that you bring a grandparent or somebody to look after the kids as we typically do these shots first to allow the kids to go and play afterwards. Because these sessions take 60-90 minutes it can get quite boring for the other little ones.

  • We encourage you to feed bub 30 minutes before your scheduled session and to keep bub upright until we arrive.
